Last night at a swing club, I noticed a couple I had never seen before.

She was beautiful.

Long blonde hair. Tight red dress. Thin. Elegant. The kind of woman who would turn heads the second she walked into almost any room.

But in that room, something felt off.

Her arms were crossed all night.

Not casually crossed. Defensive crossed.
